Image Sensors
There are a huge number of different image sensors and technologies.
Database of GMSL and FDP Link Cameras.. View
These cameras support longer cable runs, often needed in the automotive and trucking industry.
Image Sensor Database. View
You can read more about the database. It includes 16 vendors with 874 sensors, but does not include the following image sensor vendors: AMS OSRAM, Gpixel, Nuvoton, Renesas, Samsung, STMicroelectronics, Teledyne and Tepedyne Flir.
Sensor Configuration Tool. View
Some of the image sensors have as many as 10,000 registers which can be configured. This tool will help you to do that.
SXIVE SCT can connect remotely to a machine running a SXIVE SoftISP instance acting as sensor server.

Sony IMX477 Image Sensor. View
This is the sensor used in the Raspberry Pi 12MegaPixel Camera.
The only reason that it can push that much bandwidth through the MIPI-CSI connector, is because it does not do debayering. It only publishes the raw data. That takes 1/3 as much bandwidth as the debayered data.
Event Cameras. View
Rather then recording an image, event cameras use a logarithmic sensor to detect changes in brightness at each point.
Wikipedia says:
An event camera,is an imaging sensor that responds to local changes in brightness. Event cameras do not capture images using a shutter as conventional (frame) cameras do. Instead, each pixel inside an event camera operates independently and asynchronously, reporting changes in brightness as they occur, and staying silent otherwise.
Starvis. View
Sony's STARVIS technology is characterized by ultra-high sensitivity.
"With sensitivity superior to that of the human eye, it enables object shape and color recognition even in dark locations and obtains the required information with accuracy, contributing to greater safety and security."
